Cobb & Co Accommodation Options
Accommodation options at Cobb & Co Nine Mile include non-powered sites and set-up tents which come with bedding and linen.
Unpowered sites
The unpowered camping sites at Cobb and Co are not allocated. When you arrive you can choose to set up your tent wherever you like on the grassed lawns. Popular locations for families include areas near the toilets, main bathroom facilities, or one of the two playground areas.
There’s no shortage of space – we visited during a quiet weekend and had no problem finding a nice place to situate ourselves.

Cost: Unpowered camping prices are per person rather than site or family. Current prices as at November 2019 are $15 for adults and $10 for children.
Luxury Tents
For those without a tent, or those seeking a convenient getaway without the setting and packing up, Cobb and Co offer tents already set up. There are several canvas tent options to choose from.
Cabin style tents are perfect for 4 – 6 people. Bedding is included for four people (one queen bed and two single beds). You can bring an extra two single mattresses for an additional cost if you have more than four people. These tents are off the ground and include a verandah with table and chairs, and flat plate gas barbeque as well as lighting.
They are located in the trees and overlooking the billabong (a little further from the playgrounds and shower block).
Breezeway style tents include two canvas tents each situated at either end of a breezeway verandah. The tents are erected on a concrete slab (not off the ground) and can also fit 4 – 6 people (bedding is included for four people).
One tent includes a queen size bed, and the other two single beds – so this option may be better suited to families with older children. The verandah includes a table and chairs, lighting and a fire pit for cooking meals (what a fun way to cook dinner)!
We loved the look of these, for a no-fuss camping trip. And these tents are located near the pirate ship – a perfect location with kids!
New Breezeway style tents have been added recently – and these are much like the original breezeway tents but with insulation – great for the middle of summer or winter. They are located centrally – close to the playgrounds and bathrooms.
Linen – All luxury tent options come with linen – including sheets, pillows, doonas and blankets – making packing for your camping trip even easier.
Cobb and Co’s moveable tents are also a great option for couples. Suitable for two people only, they include a queen sized bed, verandah with tables and chairs. These tents can be set up anywhere except for the billabong area. We thought these would be a great option for families travelling with grandparents or other couples looking for their own space.
All the luxury tents above have a booking requirement of a minimum 2 nights stay, and 3 nights for long weekends. They vary in price from $60 a night for the moveable tents to $130 a night for the new breezeway tents.
Accommodation booking: No online booking is available – bookings are taken by phone on 07 5483 5065 or email at cobbco-ninemile@hotmail.com and a deposit may be required at certain times of the year.
Pets: You may be able to bring your dog for an additional fee and deposit, but you must call and check at the time of booking (some breeds are restricted).
Camp Ground Facilities
We believe that great camp facilities is the greatest priority for families camping in tents. You don’t have the comfort of a caravan or cabin, so you want to enjoy nice, clean toilets and a hot shower at night. Cobb and Co Nine Mile fits the bill here.
Kitchens, Food and Drinks
Cobb and Co camp grounds include two Camp kitchens. Although they aren’t powered, they do include gas barbecues and hot plates, sinks for washing up and table and chairs to eat at.
Also a huge plus for parents – the kiosk at Cobb and Co sells coffee, ice, ice-creams, marshmallows for roasting (as well as other treats). Buying a coffee in the morning on our way to the pirate ship was a highlight for us!

Toilets and Showers
There are two large toilet blocks (with flushing toilets) which were kept clean for the duration of our stay. One of the blocks is located towards the back of the camp grounds, and the other is located next to the shower block.
The shower block is centrally located and includes free hot showers, which were clean and tidy. We didn’t see any baths on the property during our stay.
Fires
Another great feature of Cobb and Co is that fires are allowed (when no local fire restrictions are in place). You can purchase firewood from the coffee kiosk or bring your own. We had a great time cooking our first damper over the fire as a family.
Fun Activities for the Kids
This is where Cobb and Co Nine Mile excels. There are many activities for children, including farm animals, a billabong for swimming, two playgrounds (including a large pirate ship), fun weekend “cobbapilla” train rides and pony rides.

Outdoor Adventures
Cobb and Co Nine Mile is set on 50 acres to explore, and is a great spot for the active family. The billabong is available for swimming or canoeing (if you bring your own). There are also walking tracks and a great bike track around the property for kids (and parents) to burn off some energy.
Playgrounds
The playground and pirate ship were definitely a highlight for our son. Kids are kept busy for hours sliding, swinging and exploring the large wooden ship. A flying fox is located at the playground towards the back of the property which also includes a cool little BMX track for kids.

Farm Activities
Cobb and Co Nine Mile features farm animals including friendly goats to feed, and chickens roaming free. We were even lucky enough to be visited by their family cat and dog while relaxing by the campfire.
On the weekend and school holidays, Cobb and Co hosts a free cobbapilla ride. This was so popular there was a big line up of families waiting for a turn! It was worth the wait, as our driver Sean took us for a fun spin around the camp grounds in their customised vehicle, blasting country music the whole way.
On the weekend we visited there were also pony lead rides available for a small cost. Cobb and Co also offer horse and carriage rides, tractor rides, and winter movies under the stars – we suggest checking directly with reception before booking to enquire when these are on.
School holidays are a popular time to visit – with Cobb and Co camping grounds offering a full holiday schedule of activities!
Day Visits to Cobb and Co
